Bobby Carroll Turner
1946-01-31 2013-04-23Mr. Bobby Carroll Turner, age 67, of Hunting Avenue in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Warlick Funeral HomeChapel with Rev. Harvey Gates officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Turner was born January 31, 1946 in LincolnCounty to the late Dorus and Helen Willis Turner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Dean Turner. He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War and then later worked for, and retired from, Eastern Airlines where he was a reservations supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Ray Turner of the home; two sons, Bo Turner of Lincolnton and Calvin Turner of Greensboro; one daughter, Julie Turner Hughes of Hickory; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blazin’ Trails Cowboy Church, 2515 Gates Road,Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the Humane Society of the United States, National Processing Center, P.O. Box 52137, Phoenix, AZ 85072.
Bobby was guite a character. We had way too much fun together, and it was amazing that we lived through it. Again, what a laugh. He also had that Cheshire Cat smile that would make you think he just got back with a rendezvous with your girl friend. I will miss him.

for the "Shake Shop" crowd, I can safely say, we have lost one of our own. Who was he NOT friends with? Still can hear his laugh...hope it coming from "upstairs"!!!!
