Charles Jerry Barkley, age 70, of 110 McCleave Street in China Grove, passed away.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Barkley was born July 30, 1943, in Lincoln County, to the late Joseph Van and Louise Dellinger Barkley. He was the owner/photographer of Barkley Studios, and also a photographer for Lincoln Times-News and retired from Yellow Freight.
He is survived by a daughter, Malinda Barkley of Cornelius; two brothers, Fred Barkley of Raleigh and David Barkley of Wilmington; two sisters, Susan Hester of Lincolnton and Debbie Vance of Jacksonville, FL; friend, Kelly Pierce Rosales; and his very special K-9 companions.
