Jerry Charles McClure, age 77, of Hunting Avenue in Lincolnton, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Victory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Ledford and Rev. David Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. McClure was born November 1, 1947, in Lincoln County, to the late Calvin Charles McClure and Margaret Lee Sain McClure. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael McClure. Jerry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Timken Company after 28+ years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Martin McClure of the home; son, Steve McClure (Amanda) of Lincolnton; daughter, Lori Dhand (Adarsh) of Davidson, NC; sister, Jeannie Lineberger (Jerry) of Lincolnton; and five grandchildren, Cameron Pressley, Tristan McClure, Holland McClure, Maeve Dhand, and Lila Dhand.
