Barry was an avid reader. He was very intelligent. However he was legally blind and a difficult time in school due to this handicap. He went on to obtain his GED and College degree. He was auto mechanic for most of his career. He was an amateur radio operator and worked with others to obtain their license as well. He was a husband and father and grandfather. He loved working with people and talking with others. He never met a stranger. He loved the Lord and read his Bible over 25 times. He would study his Bible memorize as much as he could. He graduated from Gaston College with his Associates degree and Auto Mechanics certification. He is truly missed by all who knew him.

Reverend Dr. Hazelene Hush Ford age 71 of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned on Monday, June 29, 2020 at CaroMont Health, Gastonia, North Carolina. She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on September 20, 1948 to the late John Amos Hush and Cleola Charles Hush.
Those who knew Dr. Ford would say she was a woman of strong resolve who pushed past boundaries and loved education.
